Readers of the type RTE (company Rochfort Thompson) are specialized in reading OCR information on identification cards (passports, ID cards etc.) and magnetic credit cards records. In a simple hand-swipe operation, the reader captures OCRB codelines from all Machine Readable Travel Documents. Data are send by serial port RS 232 into the operating computer.
