 VirtualReScan
is a product created by company Kofax and attends to increase the contrast
of scanned image in drab documents, which eliminates the necessity for repeated
master scanning. It exists in both software and hardware version (special
card built direct into the scanner).
VRS keeps scanned images consisting of 256 shades of
gray color in extended memory, which allows further adjusting without the
need for “rescan”. VirtualReScan can adjust aslope scanned masters into
sheer direction up to 45°.
